Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Hatim is a part of the House of Allah, because the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed the circumambulation (tawaf) of the Sacred House from outside the Hatim. And Allah Almighty has said: « وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ » [ سورة الحج : 29 ] "And let them circumambulate the Ancient House (the Ka'bah)." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that these words, "Hatim is a part of the House of Allah," are of the same kind, about which we clarify in several places in our books that sometimes the application of a definite noun with 'al' (the) is used for a part of something, not the whole. The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) to pray in the Hatim and said: "Hatim is a part of the House of Allah." By this, he meant that some of the Hatim is a part of the House of Allah, not the entire Hatim. Similarly, by the statement of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), "Hatim is from the House of Allah," he did not mean that the entire Hatim is a part of the House of Allah, but rather that some part of the Hatim is a part of the House of Allah. As Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) has informed from the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) that some part of the Hatim is from the House of Allah, not the whole Hatim.
