(163) بَابُ اسْتِلَامِ الْحَجَرِ الْأَسْوَدِ عِنْدَ ابْتِدَاءِ الطَّوَافِChapter: Touching the Black Stone at the start of tawaf
Hadith 2710
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، وَعِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , قَالَ يُونُسُ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، وَقَالَ عِيسَى : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ يَقْدَمُ مَكَّةَ يَسْتَلِمُ الرُّكْنَ الأَسْوَدَ أَوَّلُ مَا يَطُوفُ حِينَ يَقْدَمُ يَخِبُّ ثَلاثَ أَطْوَافٍ مِنَ السَّبْعِ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he reached Makkah Mukarramah, he touched the Black Stone at the beginning of the Tawaf. Then, in three out of the seven circuits, he walked briskly (and in the remaining four circuits, he walked at a normal pace).
