Hadith 2702
حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْغَافِقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، وَعَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: " يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ يَوْمَ الْحَجِّ الأَكْبَرِ " . قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: " بَعَثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ فِي الْحَجَّةِ الَّتِي أَمَّرَهُ عَلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فِي رَهْطٍ ، يُؤَذِّنُونَ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ أَلا لا يَحُجُّ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ مُشْرِكٌ ، وَلا يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرْيَانٌ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، وَكَانَ حُمَيْدٌ ، يَقُولُ: " يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ يَوْمَ الْحَجِّ الأَكْبَرِ " ، مِنْ أَجْلِ حَدِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ .
Imam Ibn Shihab, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that Imam Sa'id bin al-Musayyib, may Allah have mercy on him, used to say that the Day of Sacrifice (the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, the day of Qurbani) is the day of Hajj al-Akbar. Ibn Shihab narrates from Humaid bin Abdur Rahman that Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, states that before the Farewell Hajj, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, appointed Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, as the leader of Hajj, and he sent me with a group to announce on the Day of Sacrifice that beware, after today no polytheist will perform Hajj, and no one will circumambulate the House of Allah naked. Ibn Shihab, may Allah have mercy on him, says that Imam Humaid used to say that based on this hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, the Day of Sacrifice is the day of Hajj al-Akbar.
