Abdullah bin Uthman reports that Abu Tufail told us, and I asked him about the ramal (walking briskly) in the first three circuits of the Tawaf of the House of Allah, so he said that Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) informed him that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to Makkah under the treaty with the Quraysh, then when he entered Makkah, he entered through the large gate (Bab Bani Shaybah), and the people of Quraysh were sitting near Hatim or Hajar Aswad. Then he narrated the complete hadith. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the word mentioned in this hadith is either "Hajar" or "Hijr", I have not determined it.
