(154) بَابُ قَطْعِ التَّلْبِيَةِ فِي الْحَجِّ عِنْدَ دُخُولِ الْحَرَمِ إِلَى الْفَرَاغِ مِنَ السَّعْيِ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ.Chapter: Stopping the talbiyah in Hajj upon entering the sanctuary until finishing sa‘i between Safa and Marwa
Hadith 2698
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ الْعَطَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ زَبْرٍ وَهُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ زَبْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقْطَعُ التَّلْبِيَةَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْحَرَمَ ، وَيُعَاوِدُ إِذَا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ ، وَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنَ الطَّوَافِ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : وَأَخْبَارُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَزَلْ يُلَبِّي حَتَّى رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ دَالَّةٌ عَلَى أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَقْطَعِ التَّلْبِيَةَ عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِ الْحَرَمَ قَطْعًا لَمْ يُعَاوِدْ . . . . . سَأَذْكُرُ تَلْبِيَتَهُ إِلَى أَنْ رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ فِي مَوْضِعِهَا مِنْ هَذَا الْكِتَابِ إِنْ وَفَّقَ اللَّهُ لِذَلِكَ وَشَاءَ
Hazrat Qasim bin Muhammad narrates that I saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) stop reciting the Talbiyah as soon as he entered the boundaries of the Haram. When he finished the Tawaf of the House of Allah and the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, he would start reciting the Talbiyah again. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the Ahadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in which it is mentioned that he continued to recite the Talbiyah until he stoned Jamrah Aqabah, are evidence that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not completely stop reciting the Talbiyah upon entering the boundaries of the Haram (rather, he would start again after the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah). With the help and will of Allah Almighty, I will mention in this book, at the appropriate place, the Ahadith regarding the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) continuously reciting the Talbiyah until stoning Jamrah Aqabah.
