(144) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا أَبَاحَ لِلْمُحْرِمِ لُبْسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ هُمَا أَسْفَلُ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ،Chapter: Evidence that the Prophet only permitted wearing socks below the ankles in ihram
Hadith 2685
ح وَفِي خَبَرِ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ ، وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا حَتَّى يَكُونَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ " ، ثَنَاهُ عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ الْعَلاءِ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "So if a Muhrim does not find shoes, then he should wear leather socks, and he should cut those socks so that they are below the ankles."
