(119) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي السِّوَاكِ لِلْمُحْرِمِChapter: Permission for a person in ihram to use the tooth-stick (siwak)
Hadith 2655
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الدَّرَامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، وَطَاوُسٍ ، وَمُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ ، وَهَلْ تَسَوَّكَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done while in the state of Ihram. (The students of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, asked:) Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also use the miswak while in the state of Ihram? He replied: Yes.
