(20) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ الِاسْمَ بِاسْمِ الْمَعْرِفَةِ بِالْأَلِفِ وَاللَّامِ قَدْ لَا يَحْوِي جَمِيعَ الْمَعَانِي الَّتِي تَدْخُلُ فِي ذَلِكَ الِاسْمِ،Chapter mentioning the evidence that a definite noun may not include all meanings associated with it
Hadith 26
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ حَسَّانَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لا يَزَالُ الْعَبْدُ فِي الصَّلاةِ مَا كَانَتِ الصَّلاةُ تَحْبِسُهُ ، مَا لَمْ يُحْدِثْ " . وَالإِحْدَاثُ : أَنْ يَفْسُوَ أَوْ يَضْرِطَ ، إِنِّي لا أَسْتَحْيِي مِمَّا لَمْ يَسْتَحِي مِنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A servant remains in the state of prayer as long as the prayer restrains him and he does not break his ablution." « احداث » This means that he passes wind, whether silently or audibly. I am not ashamed to mention something which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was not ashamed to mention.
