(28) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ النَّسْلِ فِي الْمَشْيِ عِنْدَ الْإِعْيَاءِ مِنَ الْمَشْيِ، لِيَخِفَّ النَّاسِلُ وَيَذْهَبَ بَعْضُ الْإِعْيَاءُ عَنْهُ28 Subchapter: Recommending slow walking when tired to ease fatigue
Hadith 2537
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : شَكَا نَاسٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَشْيَ ، فَدَعَا بِهِمْ ، وَقَالَ : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالنَّسْلانُ " ، فَنَسَلْنَا فَوَجَدْنَاهُ أَخَفَّ عَلَيْنَا
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) complained about the hardship of walking. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called them and instructed: "Walk briskly." The companions say that when we walked briskly, we found it easy and comfortable.
