(26) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي الْخُرُوجِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ مَاشِيًا لِمَنْ قَدَرَ عَلَى الْمَشْيِ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ عِيَالًا عَلَى رُفَقَائِهِ26 Subchapter: Permission to go to Hajj on foot if able and not a burden to companions
Hadith 2534
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ , " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَقَامَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ ، لَمْ يَحُجَّ ثُمَّ أَذِنَ بِالْحَجِّ ، فَقِيلَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَاجٌّ ، فَقَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ بَشَرٌ كَثِيرٌ كُلُّهُمْ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَأْتَمَّ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " ، فَذَكَرَ بَعْضَ الْحَدِيثِ وَقَالَ : " ثُمَّ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَعْنِي مِنَ مَسْجِدِ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ فَرَكِبَ وَمَعَهُ بَشَرٌ كَثِيرٌ رُكْبَانٌ وَمُشَاةٌ " ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed in Madinah Munawwarah for nine years but did not perform Hajj during that period. Then he announced his intention to perform Hajj. When people heard that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform Hajj this year, a great number of people came to Madinah Munawwarah. Everyone wished to perform Hajj following the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then some hadith was narrated and he said: Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), after donning the Ihram, set out from the Masjid of Dhul-Hulaifah and mounted his ride, while a great number of people were riding and many were walking on foot along with him. Then the rest of the hadith was narrated.
