(19) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ الْوُضُوءَ لَا يَجِبُ إِلَّا بِيَقِينِ حَدَثٍ؛Chapter mentioning the evidence that ablution is only required with certainty of impurity
Hadith 25
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَجِدُ الشَّيْءَ ، وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلاةِ ، فَقَالَ : " لا يَنْصَرِفُ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا أَوْ يَجِدَ رِيحًا "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about a person who feels something during prayer. He (peace be upon him) said: "He should not leave (the prayer) unless he hears a sound or perceives a smell."
