(165) بَابُ التَّغْلِيظِ فِي الرُّجُوعِ عَنْ صَدَقَةِ التَّطَوُّعِ وَتَمْثِيلِهِ بِالْكَلْبِ يَقِيءُ ثُمَّ يَعُودُ فِي قَيْئِهِ165 Subchapter: Severe warning against taking back voluntary charity, likened to a dog returning to its vomit
Hadith 2475

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ، يَذْكُرُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ
A narration similar to the above is reported from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) by Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
