جماع أبواب صدقة التطوعChapters on Voluntary Charity
(163) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ أَمْرَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِوَضْعِ الْقِنْوِ الَّذِي ذَكَرْنَا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لِلْمَسَاكِينِ أَمَرُ نَدْبٍ وَإِرْشَادٍ، لَا أَمْرُ فَرِيضَةٍ وَإِيجَابٍ، خَبَرُ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَابِ163 Subchapter: Prophet’s command to place fruit in the mosque for the poor was guidance, not obligation
Hadith 2470
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَدَّيْتَ زَكَاةَ مَالِكَ ، فَقَدْ أَذَهَبْتَ عَنْكَ شَرَّهُ "
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "When you have paid the zakat of your wealth, then you have removed the evil and calamity of that wealth from yourself."
