(153) بَابُ ذِكْرِ مَثَلٍ ضَرَبَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْمُتَصَدِّقِ153 Subchapter: Parable the Prophet gave for the giver of charity
Hadith 2457
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ , عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا يُخْرِجُ رَجُلٌ شَيْئًا مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ حَتَّى يَفُكَّ عَنْهَا لَحْيَيْ سَبْعِينَ شَيْطَانًا "
Ibn Buraidah narrates from his noble father Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person cannot give charity from anything until he frees it from the jaws of seventy devils."
