(113) بَابُ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ صَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ يَجِبُ أَدَاؤُهَا عَنِ الْمَمَالِيكِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ دُونَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ،113 Subchapter: Zakat al-fitr is due for Muslim slaves, not non-Muslims
Hadith 2398
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَضَ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ فِي رَمَضَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ نَفْسٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حُرٍّ أَوْ عَبْدٍ ، رَجُلٍ أَوِ امْرَأَةٍ ، صَغِيرٍ أَوْ كَبِيرٍ ، صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : حَدِيثُ مَالِكٍ ، وَابْنِ شَوْذَبٍ ، وَكَثِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَابِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made obligatory the Sadaqat al-Fitr in the month of Ramadan upon every Muslim, whether free or slave, male or female, young or old—one sa’ of dates or one sa’ of barley. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Malik, Ibn Shuhdhab, and Kathir bin Abdullah have narrated from their fathers from their grandfathers regarding this same issue.
