Hadith 2384

Hazrat Basheer bin Bisaar narrates that a member of his family, who is called Ibn Abi Hathmah, informed him that some of their people went to Khaybar and there they dispersed (for their respective work). Then they found one of their companions murdered. So they said to those people in whose area he was found, "You have killed our companion." (Upon their denial) those people presented themselves before the Messenger of Allah and said that they had gone to Khaybar. Then the rest of the hadith was mentioned. The last words of this hadith are: So the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not like to let his blood go in vain, therefore, one hundred camels from the zakat camels were given as his blood money.
