جماع أبواب قسم الصدقات وذكر أهل سهمانهاChapters on Distribution of Zakat and its Recipients
(82) بَابُ إِعْطَاءِ الْيَتَامَى مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ إِذَا كَانُوا فُقَرَاءَ- إِنْ ثَبَتَ الْخَبَرُ، فَإِنَّ فِي النَّفْسِ مِنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ - وَإِنْ لَمْ يَثْبُتْ هَذَا الْخَبَرُ82| Chapter on giving zakat to orphans if they are poor, if the report is authentic
Hadith 2362
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا مُصَدِّقُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَخَذَ الصَّدَقَةَ مِنْ أَغْنِيَائِنَا ، فَجَعَلَهَا فِي فُقَرَائِنَا ، وَكُنْتُ غُلامًا يَتِيمًا فَأَعْطَانِي مِنْهُ قَلُوصًا "
Sayyiduna Abu Juhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a zakat collector of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us, so he collected zakat from our wealthy people and distributed it among our poor, and I was an orphan boy, so he also gave me a young she-camel from that wealth.
