جماع أبواب قسم الصدقات وذكر أهل سهمانهاChapters on Distribution of Zakat and its Recipients
(76) بَابُ ذِكْرِ دَّلَائِلِ أُخْرَى عَلَى أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا أَرَادَ بِقَوْلِهِ: " إِنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ لَا تَحِلُّ لِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ "- صَدَقَةَ الْفَرِيضَةِ دُونَ صَدَقَةِ التَّطَوُّعِ76| Chapter on further evidence that the Prophet meant by “charity is not lawful for the family of Muhammad” the obligatory zakat, not voluntary charity
Hadith 2353
Imam Abu Bakr, may Allah have mercy on him, says that in the narration of Hazrat Urwah from Sayyidah Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Our inheritance will not be distributed; whatever wealth we leave behind will be charity. Indeed, the family of Muhammad will eat from this wealth." In this way, the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, informed that his family will eat from his charity because his charity is not obligatory charity (zakat).
