(182) بَابُ إِيجَابِ الْغُسْلِ مِنَ الْإِمْنَاءِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ الْإِمْنَاءُ مِنْ غَيْرِ جِمَاعٍ،Chapter 182: Obligation to bathe after ejaculation, even without intercourse
Hadith 233
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَزِيزٍ الأَيْلِيُّ ، أَنَّ سَلامَةَ بْنَ رَوْحٍ ، حَدَّثَهُمْ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا الْمَاءُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ "
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, (the obligation of) ghusl (ritual bath) is due to (the emission of) water (semen)."
