It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever owns camels and does not pay their zakat in times of hardship and ease, then on the Day of Resurrection he will be made to lie down on his face in a flat plain. Then those camels will come, fat and healthy, and they will trample him with their feet and hooves. When the last one has trampled over him, the first will return (and this punishment will continue) until Allah decides among the people. Then he will see his path (either to Paradise or to Hell). And whoever owns cows and does not pay their zakat in times of hardship and ease, then on the Day of Resurrection those cows will be brought, fat and healthy. Then he will be made to lie down on his face in a wide plain, and those cows will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hooves. When the last cow has trampled over him, the first will return. This will continue until Allah decides among the people. Then he will see his path (either to Paradise or to Hell). And whoever owns goats and does not pay their zakat in times of hardship and ease, then on the Day of Resurrection those goats will be brought, fat and healthy. Then that person will be made to lie down on his face in a wide plain, and those goats will butt him with their horns and trample him with their hooves. When the last goat has trampled over him, the first will return. This will continue until Allah decides among the people. Then he will see his path (either to Paradise or to Hell)." Imam Abu Bakr says: I do not know whether the word "sabeel" is with a dammah (u) or a fathah (a) on the letter "lam".
