Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah

It is narrated from the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), Sayyiduna Thawban (رضی اللہ عنہ), who says: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when a scholar from among the Jewish scholars came to him and said, "O Muhammad (ﷺ), peace be upon you." So I pushed him so hard that he almost fell. He said, "Why did you push me?" I said, "Can you not say 'Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)' instead of just mentioning his name?" The Jewish scholar said, "We call him by the name his family gave him." So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Indeed, my name is Muhammad (ﷺ), which my family gave me." The Jew said, "I have come to ask you a question." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him, "If I tell you something, will it benefit you?" He said, "I will listen with both my ears (meaning, I will listen to your statement with full attention)." Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) began to poke the ground with a stick he had with him (as a thoughtful person does), then said, "Ask." The Jew said, "Where will the people be on the day when this earth and the heavens will be replaced with another earth and heavens?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "(They) will be in darkness near the Bridge (Sirat)." He said, "Who will be the first people to be permitted to cross the Bridge (Sirat)?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The poor emigrants." He said, "What gift will they receive upon entering Paradise?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "A piece of fish liver." He asked, "What will be their food after that?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "For them, a bull of Paradise will be slaughtered, which used to graze around Paradise." He asked, "After this meal, what will they drink?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "They will drink from a spring in Paradise called Salsabeel." He said, "You have spoken the truth." And he said, "I have come to ask you about something which no one on earth knows except a prophet or one or two men." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "If I tell you about that thing, will it benefit you?" He said, "I will listen with both my ears." He said, "I have come to ask you about the child." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The man's fluid is white and the woman's fluid is yellow. When both fluids meet, and the man's fluid prevails over the woman's fluid, then by the command of Allah, a boy is born. And when the woman's fluid prevails over the man's fluid, then by the command of Allah, a girl is born." The Jew said, "You have spoken the truth, and indeed you are a Prophet." Then he left. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Of all the things he asked me about, I did not know any of them until Allah, the Exalted, gave me knowledge of them."
