Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Whoever possesses wealth and does not pay its zakat, then on the Day of Resurrection his wealth will be gathered and made into plates, which will be heated in the fire of Hell, and with them his sides and his back will be branded, until, according to your reckoning, in the day of fifty thousand years, Allah Almighty will decide among His servants. Then he will see his path either to Paradise or to Hell." And then he narrated the complete hadith regarding the story of camels and goats. It was asked from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about your command regarding the zakat of horses. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Blessing and goodness are tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection, and horses are of three types for people. For one person, they are a source of reward; for another, they are (merely) a means of covering (neither reward nor sin); and for a third, they are a cause of sin. The one for whom they are a source of reward is the person who keeps them for the sake of Allah, for jihad in His path, and keeps them prepared for it. Whatever goes into their bellies is written as a reward for him, and if he grazes them in a pasture or green fields, whatever enters their bellies, their owner will receive a reward for it. And if he fills one or two troughs for them, the owner will receive a reward for every step they take. And if he gives them water from a river, for every drop that enters the horse's belly, he will receive a reward. He even mentioned reward for their dung and urine." And the horse that is neutral for him is the one he keeps to avoid begging, for beauty, and to cover himself, and the owner does not withhold their rights of riding and feeding in hardship or ease. And the horse that is a cause of sin for him is the one he keeps for showing off, pride, arrogance, and boasting." The Companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is your command regarding donkeys?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Regarding them, Allah Almighty has not revealed any command to me except this comprehensive and unique verse « فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَّرَهُ ، وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَّرَهُ » 'So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.' " [ سورة الزلزلة : 6-7 ]
