(30) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِسِمَةِ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ إِذَا قُبِضَتْ فِي الصَّدَقَةِ30| Chapter on marking camels taken for zakat
Hadith 2282
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ بُنْدَارٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلاءُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سَوِيَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عِكْرَاشٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عِكْرَاشِ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَنِي بَنُو مُرَّةَ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ بِصَدَقَاتِ أَمْوَالِهِمْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَدِمْتُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَدِينَةَ ، فَوَجَدْتُهُ جَالِسًا بَيْنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ ، وَالأَنْصَارِ ، فَقَدِمْتُ عَلَيْهِ بِإِبِلٍ كَأَنَّهَا عُذُوقُ الأَرْطَأ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنِ الرَّجُلِ ؟ " فَقُلْتُ : عِكْرَاشُ بْنُ ذُؤَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : " ارْفَعْ فِي النَّسَبِ " ، قُلْتُ : ابْنُ حَرْقُوصِ بْنِ خَوْرَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ النَّزَّالِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، وَهَذِهِ صَدَقَاتُ بَنِي مُرَّةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَذِهِ إِبِلُ قَوْمِي ، هَذِهِ صَدَقَاتُ قَوْمِي " ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا أَنْ تُوسَمَ بِمَيْسَمِ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ ، وَتُضَمَّ إِلَيْهَا ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِيَدِي ، فَانْطَلَقَ بِي إِلَى بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
Hazrat Akraash bin Dhuyayb narrates that the people of Banu Murrah bin Ubaid gave me their zakat and sent me to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). So I came to you in Madinah Munawwarah. I found you sitting among the Muhajireen and Ansar companions. I had brought such camels to you as if they were the red fruits (or roots) of the Arti tree. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: "Who are you?" I replied, Akraash bin Dhuyayb. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "State your noble lineage." I said: Ibn Harqoos ibn Khurah ibn Amr ibn Nazzal ibn Murrah ibn Ubaid, and this is the zakat of Banu Murrah bin Ubaid. So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) smiled and then said: "These are the camels of my people. This is the zakat of my people." Then he ordered that these camels be marked with the sign of zakat camels and included among the zakat camels. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) took my hand and took me to the house of Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her). Then the complete hadith was narrated.
