Hadith 2223
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ تَسْنِيمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ الْبُرْسَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ حَدِيثِ عُرْوَةَ ، وَابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، يُحَدِّثُ عُرْوَةُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، وَسَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى تَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha and Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to observe i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan until Allah Almighty caused him to pass away.
