Hadith 2222
حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، يَقُولُ : جَاوَزَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ السَّبْعَ الأَوْسَطَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مُتَحَرِّيًا ، فَلْيَتَحَرَّهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ "
Hazrat Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar narrates that I heard my noble father saying that when the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) went beyond the seven days in the middle of Ramadan, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever among you wants to seek Laylat al-Qadr should seek it in the last seven nights."
