Hadith 2214
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ صُبَيْحٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ شَدَّ الْمِئْزَرَ ، وَأَحْيَا اللَّيْلَ ، وَأَيْقَظَ أَهْلَهُ " . وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ : سَمِعْنَا عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when the last ten days of Ramadan would begin, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would tighten his waist belt, stay awake at night (engaging in much worship), and also wake up his family members. Abdullah bin Muhammad Zuhri narrates that we heard Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) saying this.
