Hadith 2212
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عِيسَى بْنُ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قُضَاعَةَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ شَهِدْتُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، وَصَلَّيْتُ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسَ ، وَصُمْتُ الشَّهْرَ ، وَقُمْتُ رَمَضَانَ ، وَآتَيْتُ الزَّكَاةَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى هَذَا كَانَ مِنَ الصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ "
Sayyiduna Amr bin Murrah al-Juhani رضي الله عنه narrates that a man from the tribe of Quda'ah came to the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم and said: O Messenger of Allah, tell me, if I testify that there is no deity except Allah, and that you are the Messenger of Allah, and I perform the five daily prayers, fast in the month of Ramadan and stand (in prayer), and pay zakat, then (what will be my reward)? The Noble Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Whoever dies in this state will be counted among the truthful and the martyrs."
