Hadith 2174
حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، مِثْلَهُ ، إِلا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " الأَبُّ : مِمَّا أَنْبَتَتِ الأَرْضُ مِمَّا لا يَأْكُلُهُ النَّاسُ ، وَتَأْكُلُهُ الأَنْعَامُ "
A narration similar to the above is reported from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), but in it are these words: "al-ab" refers to the grass and fodder which animals eat and humans do not eat.
