Hadith 2157
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ جَعْدَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْقَارِئ ، يَقُولُ : أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ : " وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ مَا أَنَا نَهَيْتُ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ ، مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ نَهَى عَنْهَا " . قَالَ سَعِيدٌ : عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْقَارِئِ ، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ : وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ
Abdullah bin Amr al-Qari narrates that Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) was saying while performing Tawaf of the House of Allah: "By the Lord of the Ka'bah, I did not prohibit fasting on Friday. By the Lord of the Ka'bah, Muhammad (peace be upon him) prohibited it." Sa'id has also narrated this report from Yahya bin Ja'dah from Abdullah bin Amr al-Qari, but did not mention the words that he was performing Tawaf of the House of Allah.
