Hadith 2149

It is narrated from Abu Murrah, the freed slave of Aqeel, that he and Abdullah presented themselves before Sayyiduna Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) on the second or third day of Eid al-Adha. Sayyiduna Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) offered them food, so Abdullah said, "I am fasting." Sayyiduna Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "Break your fast. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command not to fast on these days and forbade fasting on these days." Upon this, Abdullah broke his fast and ate the food, and I also ate with him.
