Hadith 2143
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ، فَقَالَ : " هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ شَيْءٌ ؟ " ، قُلْنَا : لا . قَالَ : " فَإِنِّي إِذًا صَائِمٌ " . قَالَتْ : ثُمَّ جَاءَ يَوْمًا آخَرَ ، فَقُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أُهْدِيَ لَنَا حَيْسٌ ، فَخَبَّأْنَا لَكَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَدْنِيهِ ، فَقَدْ أَصْبَحْتُ صَائِمًا " ، فَأَكَلَ . هَذَا حَدِيثُ وَكِيعٍ
Aisha bint Talha narrates from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "One day the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came home and asked: 'Do you have anything to eat?' We replied, 'No.' He (peace be upon him) said: 'Then I am fasting.' Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that then one day he came and we said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we have been given a gift of hais and we have saved it for you.' He (peace be upon him) said: 'Bring it, I started the morning in a state of fasting.' Then he (peace be upon him) ate it. This is the narration of Waki'.
