The grandmother of Habib bin Zaid, Sayyida Umm Ammarah bint Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her while she was fasting. She presented food to him, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Come and eat." She replied that she was fasting. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When food is eaten in the presence of a fasting person, the angels pray for his forgiveness."
