Hadith 2115
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ نَصْرِ بْنِ الْمُعَارِكِ الْمِصْرِيَّانِ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الذِّمَارِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيِّ ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " صِيَامُ رَمَضَانَ بِعَشَرَةِ أَشْهُرٍ ، وَصِيَامُ السِّتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ بِشَهْرَيْنِ ، فَذَلِكَ صِيَامُ السَّنَةِ " ، يَعْنِي رَمَضَانَ وَسِتَّةَ أَيَّامٍ بَعْدَهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The fasts of Ramadan are equal to the fasts of ten months, and the fasts of six days are equal to the fasts of two months. Thus, the fasts of Ramadan and the six days after it will be as if one has fasted for the whole year."
