Mr. Mansur Kalbi narrates that Mr. Wahiya bin Khalifah set out from his village Fustat towards the village of Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir during the blessed month of Ramadan, so he broke his fast and the people also broke their fast with him. However, some people disliked breaking the fast. Then when he returned to his village, he said, "By Allah, today I have seen such a scene that I never expected to see. Some people have shown disinterest in the conduct of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and his companions." He said this about those people who kept the fast during the journey. On this occasion, he prayed, "O Allah, call me to Yourself (cause me to die)." Mr. Ibn Abd al-Hakam narrates that he set out from his village in Damascus, al-Mazah, for a distance equal to the village of Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him), then he broke his fast. The rest of the narration is the same. Mr. Muhammad bin Yahya says that Ibn Lahi'ah used to say about this narrator, "Mansur bin Zaid Kalbi."
