Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we set out (on a journey) on the second day of Ramadan while we were fasting. When we reached the place of Al-Kadeed, we were commanded not to fast. So, we spent the morning in happiness and ease; some of us kept the fast and some did not, until when we reached the place of Mar Al-Mazharan, we received news of the enemy's approach. We were commanded to break the fast, so all of us broke our fast. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the narration of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas and Abu Nazrah (may Allah be pleased with them) from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) is also regarding this issue.
