Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) observed fasts during the year of the conquest of Makkah (while traveling), until when he reached the place of Al-Kadid, he broke his fast. And the last and most recent command of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) will be acted upon. This is the narration of Abdul Jabbar. In it, he adds that Imam Sufyan says: I do not know whether this last sentence is the statement of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), or of Ubaidullah, or of Imam Zuhri.
