Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we traveled with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) during Ramadan. Some of us were fasting and some of us were not. Neither did those who were not fasting criticize those who were fasting, nor did those who were fasting find fault with those who were not fasting. And the position of the Companions was that whoever had strength and power should fast, and this was very good. And whoever felt weakness, then it was very good for him not to fast. This is the narration of Janab Thaqafi, but he did not mention the words "in Ramadan." And in the narration of Janab Salim bin Nuh, the word "jameel" is not present, and the word "yarawna" is narrated. And in the narration of Janab Ibn 'Ulayyah, it is mentioned that we used to travel with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The words "in Ramadan" are not mentioned.
