Hadith 1993
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلا يَرْفُثْ ، فَإِنْ شَاتَمَهُ ، أَوْ سَابَّهُ ، وَقَاتَلَهُ ، فَلْيَقُلْ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "When any one of you is observing a fast, he should not use obscene language. Then if someone abuses him, speaks ill to him, or fights with him, he should say: 'I am fasting.'"
