Hadith 1920
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، نا مَرْوَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بِشْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا " . وَفِي حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ : خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا ثُمَّ قَبَضَ أَصَابِعَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ "
Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “A month is like this, and like this, and like this.” In the narration of Muhammad bin Bishr, it is mentioned that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us while he was saying: “A month is like this, like this, and like this,” then the third time he folded his finger (indicating twenty-nine).
