Hadith 1888

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit, he said: "Ameen, Ameen, Ameen." It was asked of him, "O Messenger of Allah, you did not use to do this before (what is the reason today)?" So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: May the nose of that person be soiled in dust, or may he be distanced from mercy, who, despite the coming of Ramadan, is deprived of forgiveness and pardon. So I said: Ameen. Then he said: May the nose of that person be soiled in dust, or may he be distanced from the mercy of Allah, who finds his parents or one of them (in old age) and yet does not enter Paradise by serving them. So I said: Ameen. Then he prayed: May the nose of that person also be soiled in dust, or may he be distanced from the mercy of Allah, in whose presence your mention is made and he does not send blessings upon you. So I said: Ameen."
