Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the first night of Ramadan comes, the rebellious devils and jinn are chained, and the doors of Hell are closed, and none of its doors are opened. All the doors of Paradise are opened, and none of its doors are closed. And a caller announces: O seeker of good, advance (do many good deeds), and O seeker of evil, desist. And Allah has many people whom He frees from Hell."
