Hadith 1852

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that while the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing and delivering the sermon on Friday, a trade caravan arrived in Madinah. The companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) rushed towards that caravan, and only twelve people remained with him. Among them were Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). And this verse was revealed « وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا انفَضُّوا إِلَيْهَا وَتَرَكُوكَ قَائِمًا » [ سورة الجمعة : 11 ] "And when they see a trade or amusement, they rush towards it and leave you standing."
