Hadith 1833
نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، وَبِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زَيْدٍ , قَالَ بِشْرٌ : قَالَ : ثنا عَمْرٌو ، وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ : عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، كُلُّهُمْ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ , فَقَالَ : " أَصَلَّيْتَ ؟ " قَالَ : لا , قَالَ : " فَقُمْ فَارْكَعْ " . وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ : " أَصَلَّيْتَ يَا فُلانُ ؟ " . وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ : فَقَالَ : " أَرَكَعْتَ ؟ " قَالَ : لا . قَالَ : " فَارْكَعْهُمَا "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a man entered the mosque while the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked him: "Have you performed the prayer?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Stand up and perform the prayer." And in the narration of Ahmad bin Abadah and Ahmad bin Muqaddam, it is: "O so-and-so, have you performed the prayer?" And in the narration of Abi Asim, the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: "Have you offered the prayer?" He said, "No." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Offer two rak‘ahs."
