Hadith 1820

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you should make his brother get up from his place and then sit in it himself." Nafi’ says that I asked, "Is this command for the day of Jumu’ah?" He replied, "This command is for the day of Jumu’ah and for other days as well." Nafi’ says that if anyone got up from his place for Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), he would not sit in that place.
