Hadith 1798
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ ، نا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ شِبْلٍ , عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا دَنَوْتُ مِنْ مَدِينَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَخْتُ رَاحِلَتِي , وَحَلَلْتُ عَيْبَتِي , فَلَبِسْتُ حُلَّتِي , فَدَخَلْتُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ , فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَرَمَانِي النَّاسُ بِالْحَدَقِ , فَقُلْتُ لِجَلِيسٍ لِي : يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ , هَلْ ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَمْرِي شَيْئًا ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ , ذَكَرَكَ بِأَحْسَنِ الذِّكْرِ , بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَخْطُبُ إِذْ عَرَضَ لَهُ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ , قَالَ : " إِنَّهُ سَيَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَابِ أَوْ مِنْ هَذَا الْفَجِّ مِنْ خَيْرِ ذِي يَمَنٍ , وَإِنَّ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ لَمَسْحَةَ مَلَكٍ " . قَالَ : فَحَمِدْتُ اللَّهَ عَلَى مَا أَبْلانِي
Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that when I reached near Madinah Munawwarah to meet the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I made my she-camel sit down, opened my bag, and wore my garment. Then I entered the mosque while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) greeted me with salam. The people started staring at me. So I asked the person sitting next to me, "O Abdullah, did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say something about me (that all these people are looking at me so attentively)?" He replied, "Yes, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned you in a very good way." During his sermon, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remembered something and said: "The best person from Yemen will enter through this door or this path, and there will be a sign of kingship on his face." Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I thanked Allah Almighty for this favor.
