Hadith 1795
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبِي ، وَشُعَيْبٌ ، قَالا : أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ , عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي هِلالٍ ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا , فَقَرَأَ ص ، فَلَمَّا مَرَّ بِالسَّجْدَةَ نَزَّلَ فَسَجَدَ ، وَسَجَدْنَا ، وَقَرَأَ بِهَا مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ السَّجْدَةِ تَيَسَّرْنَا لِلسُّجُودِ , فَلَمَّا رَآنَا ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا هِيَ تَوْبَةُ نَبِيٍّ , وَلَكِنْ أَرَاكُمْ قَدِ اسْتَعْدَدْتُمْ لِلسُّجُودِ " , فَنَزَلَ فَسَجَدَ وَسَجَدْنَا . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : أَدْخَلَ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، فِي هَذَا الإِسْنَادِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ بَيْنَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلالٍ , وَبَيْنَ عِيَاضٍ . وَإِسْحَاقَ مِمَّنْ لا يَحْتَجُّ أَصْحَابُنَا بِحَدِيثِهِ , وَأَحْسَبُ أَنَّهُ غَلَطَ فِي إِدْخَالِهِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِي هَذَا الإِسْنَادِ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us and recited Surah Sad. Then, when he recited the verse of prostration, he descended from the pulpit and performed prostration, so we also performed prostration. Then he recited this Surah again, and when he reached the verse of prostration, we prepared for prostration. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw us ready (for prostration), he said: "This is the mention of the repentance of a Prophet, but I see you ready for prostration." Therefore, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) descended and performed prostration, and we also performed prostration.
Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a student of Ibn Wahb, while narrating this hadith from Ibn Wahb through the chain of 'Amr bin Harith, added Ishaq bin 'Abdullah Abu Farwah between Sa'id bin Abi Hilal and 'Iyad. However, our companions do not consider the hadith of Ishaq as evidence or proof. And in my opinion, he made a mistake by inserting Ishaq bin 'Abdullah into this chain.
