Hadith 1765
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، وَعَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، وَعَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ , فَرَأَى عَلَيْهِمْ ثِيَابَ النِّمَارِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ إِنْ وَجَدَ سَعَةً أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ ثَوْبَيْنِ لِجُمُعَتِهِ سِوَى ثَوْبَيْ مِهْنَتِهِ "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon on the day of Jumu'ah, and he saw the companions wearing striped (dirty and worn) clothes. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no harm for any one of you, if he has the means and ability, to set aside a (clean and neat) set of clothes for Jumu'ah, other than his work clothes."
