Hadith 1762
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَأَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالا : سَمِعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاسْتَنَّ وَمَسَّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ إِنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ , وَلَبِسَ مِنْ أَحْسَنِ ثِيَابِهِ , ثُمَّ جَاءَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ , وَلَمْ يَتَخَطَّ رِقَابَ النَّاسِ , ثُمَّ رَكَعَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ , ثُمَّ أَنْصَتَ إِذَا خَرَجَ إِمَامُهُ حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ كَانَتْ كَفَّارَةً لِمَا بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ قَبْلَهَا " . يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : " وَثَلاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ زِيَادَةً , إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَ الْحَسَنَةَ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Sa‘id (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate that we heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “Whoever performs ghusl on the day of Jumu‘ah, uses the miswak, and if he has perfume, he applies it, and wears his best clothes, then comes to the mosque and does not step over people’s necks, then performs as many voluntary prayers as Allah wills, then when the Imam arrives he remains silent until the prayer is completed, then this Jumu‘ah will be an expiation for the sins committed between this Jumu‘ah and the previous Jumu‘ah.” Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: And it will be an expiation for three more days’ sins, for indeed Allah gives tenfold reward for a good deed.
