Hadith 1760
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ صَاحِبُ الْحِنَّاءِ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَأَنَا أَغْتَسِلُ . قَالَ : غُسْلُكَ هَذَا مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ ؟ قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ , قَالَ : فَأَعِدْ غُسْلا آخَرَ , إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ لَمْ يَزَلْ طَاهِرًا إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ الأُخْرَى " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ , لَمْ يَرْوِهِ غَيْرُ هَارُونَ
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to me on Friday while I was performing ghusl (ritual bath). He asked, "Are you performing ghusl due to janabah (major ritual impurity)?" I replied, "Yes." He then said, "Then perform another ghusl. Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Whoever performs ghusl on Friday, he remains pure and clean until the next Friday.'" Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that this hadith is ghareeb (rare/strange). No one except Harun has narrated it.
