Hadith 1741
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، نا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، نا فُلَيْحٌ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الأَزْهَرِ ، نا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نا فُلَيْحٌ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : وَاللَّهِ لَوْ جِئْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ يَكُونَ عِنْدَهُ مِنْهَا عِلْمٌ , فَأَتَيْتُهُ . فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا طَوِيلا , وَقَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ , إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَنِ السَّاعَةِ الَّتِي فِي الْجُمُعَةِ , فَهَلْ عِنْدَكَ مِنْهَا عِلْمٌ ؟ فَقَالَ : سَأَلْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْهَا , فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي قَدْ كُنْتُ أُعْلِمْتُهَا ثُمَّ أُنْسِيتُهَا , كَمَا أُنْسِيتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ " , ثُمَّ خَرَجْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ , فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلامٍ . فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ
Hazrat Abu Salamah (may Allah have mercy on him) says, I said to myself that by Allah, if I present myself before Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him), (then it would be much better) so that I may ask him about the hour of acceptance of supplication, perhaps he has knowledge of it. Therefore, I presented myself before him, and he narrated a lengthy hadith. I said, O Abu Sa'id, Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) has narrated to us about the hour of acceptance of supplication on Friday, so do you have any knowledge about it? He replied, We asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, I was given knowledge of it, then I was made to forget it, just as I was made to forget Laylatul Qadr." Then I left him and went to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him). Then the complete hadith was narrated.
